How can I take Hemp?

Hemp comes with a variety of benefits, which you can find more about here. Not only this, but it has minimal side effects, so you can enjoy this supplement feeling reassured that you are in good hands. But how can you take hemp to feel the best effects?

Orally

You can drink hemp seed oil straight, or mix it into foods for similar effects. Many people like to use hemp seed oil as a salad dressing, either by itself or mixed in with other ingredients. It can also be used as a substitute for olive oil, both for cooking and other purposes such as dipping bread or topping dishes.

Topically

Hemp seed oil can also be used to relieve pain – while you can still feel these effects taking oils orally, for targeted pain relief we recommend using hemp seed oil topically, by massaging it into the areas causing you pain. Whether this be for ongoing chronic pain due to a condition such as arthritis, or used as part of a post-workout routine, massaging hemp seed oil into areas of pain can help reduce symptoms and allow you to get on with your day-to-day life as normal.

You can also massage hemp seed oil onto the scalp to help your skin become more resistant to bacteria/infections. This can help reduce the amount of dandruff you get – start by massaging a few drops onto your scalp every night, or make your own hair mask by mixing ingredients such as coconut or avocado oil with your hemp seed oil. Alongside the benefits of less dandruff, omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids (which hemp seed oil is rich in) have been shown to promote hair growth, and by mixing your hemp seed oil in with your hair products such as shampoos and conditioners, you can maximise this effect.

Hemp seed oil also has antifungal properties, which are beneficial for nail growth. Try rolling oils directly onto your nails and cuticles to strengthen them, as well as encouraging your nails to grow.

While hemp seed oil is extremely versatile, and can be used in practically anything, we also offer roasted hemp seeds which you can snack on throughout the day – not only do these give the benefits of our oils, but they also taste incredible, and are a natural source of protein!
